LAW751 Master of Law (By Research)
This programme intends to train candidates to develop some conceptual and analytical capabilities in the field of law through a rigorous examination of an original study to be conducted under the supervision of a supervisor from the faculty. At the end of the programme, candidates are required to submit a thesis not exceeding 50,000 words an go through a viva voce successfully.
Entry Requirements
- Applicant must have a recognised degree in Law with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.75 or equivalent.
- Application must be accompanied by a written research proposal in the required format.
- Candidates are required to successfully undergo an appraisal with the Faculty’s Postgraduate Committee.

Academic Qualification
- Master’s Programme - Applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in a relevant field of study a university that is recognized by the University Senate and the Malaysian government.
- PhD Programme - Applicant must have a Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study a university recognized by the University Senate and the Malaysian government. (Certain programmes may have other requirements stipulated by the Faculty)

All international applicants from non-English speaking countries applying for postgraduate studies in UiTM are required to show proof of English language proficiency.

Full Time: 3 semesters
Part Time: 4 semesters
LW700 Master of Law (By Coursework)
The LL.M by coursework is a fully taught programme. In this programme, candidates are required to take eight (8) courses, comprising of legal Research and Methodology (a compulsory course) and seven (7) other core electives, which can be chosen from the list.
Entry Requirements
- A first degree in law with at least a CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent; or
- Other qualifications relevant to legal studies that are recognized by the Faculty.
Candidates who does not meet the minimum requirement as mentioned above but possess the relevant working experience also would be considered.

Candidates may choose mode of study as below:
Full Time : 2 semesters
Part Time : 4 semesters
Classes: 6.30pm-9.30pm (Monday-Friday) for both Full Time and Part Time mode of studies.

- A first degree in any field from university recognized by the government of Malaysia with a minimum of at least a CGPA of 2.75 or its equivalent; or
- A first degree any field from a university recognized by the government of Malaysia with a minimum of at least a CGPA of 2.50 plus at least 2 years working experience.
